We were lucky to have stayed in their gorgeous vacation rental. Their mother was completely charming as was her son.

I feel like Puglia, in particular, has a younger generation that is very ambitious, intensely committed to the region, and determined to innovate while still respecting their history and traditions. It's not surprising that the region has grown so significantly in international stature over the past 10 years. These brothers are a perfect example of what is making Puglia so dynamic right now. Great story!

I love finding out what modern-day descendants of aristocratic dynasties are doing with themselves and their ancestral properties. The Guarini are one of the great families of the south. On top of that, Puglia and particularly the Lecce area are near the top of my list for southern Italy, so thanks for this!

Carlo and his brother are doing some really cool things! I definitely recommend checking out their winery if you go to Lecce.
