A wonderful town. It's remoteness keeps it from being overrun by tourists. Despite the title, my book To Die in Tuscany is mostly set in Urbino, with some of the action set in the Palazzo Ducale. You can't get a better atmosphere for a murder mystery.
Always love seeing Marche get some attention-- not too much, but some :) We love Urbino-- glad you got a crescia and a look at the marquetry trompe l'oeil as well!
I have a novel kicking around that is partially set in Renaissance Urbino so went there for research a few years ago and oh! that city really has my heart. A true gem.
Another lovely article Laura and is a reminder to move it up on my list of places left to see in Italy✨
Thanks! The list just gets longer and longer, doesn't it?
Grazie for your article. Le Marche is indeed a gem to discover, in fact we've chosen to move there: https://labellastrada.com/
Amazing! I'll have to comb through this website for tips for my next trip to Le Marche!
You’ve piqued my curiosity, indeed. Next trip to Italy maybe?
It's definitely a great place to visit if you want to get off the beaten path!

Sounds very cool! I'll have to check out your book.

I'll try not to spread the word too widely ;)

Sounds fascinating! Let me know where I can find it.
That one is still in process. :-)
