We've been hiking a couple of times in the summer rifugio to rifugio in the Dolomites and think summer is really fabulous there. So beautiful and if you like hiking this is some of the most beautiful hiking you will do in the world but all within the very civilized context of staying in the absolutely charming rifugios which also means hiking with very minimal stuff carried in daypacks, not taking camping gear. Interested in Dolomites in winter for skiing though.

I've heard the Dolomites are lovely in summer, but I'm not much of a hiker. I'd like to see Lago di Braies in the summer, but I'm not sure what else I would do in the area...

I think some of the members of the Dalgin clan would really like the Dolomites. Becca and Elana could go foraging while Trevor goes mountain biking. And while they’re off doing that, we can go on a quest to find the best apple strudel.
